The SEO Apprentice role is perfect for anyone looking to kick start their career in digital marketing and eager to learn the ins and outs of SEO. You will be helping create reports for both agency and direct clients as well as helping to write engaging social or blog content.
Michael, Ink Digital’s Founder & CEO, undertook an SEO apprenticeship himself 8 years ago after finishing his A-Levels. He was able to secure a full-time job within SEO and progressed to managing SEO teams and leading the SEO endeavours of a large travel company in the UK before starting his own agency.
The ideal candidate would then be hired full-time after the completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities of the SEO Apprentice
- Creating monthly SEO reports
- Using SEO tools such as SEM Rush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console
- Learning how to build on-site/technical SEO reports using tools such as Screaming Frog
- Support managing the company’s social media platforms
- Blog and editorial content ideation and optimisation
- Outreaching relevant publishers
- Learning & implementing link building tactics
- Support SEO Managers on various SEO clients and campaigns
- Keeping up to date with digital marketing trends
Requirements of the SEO Apprentice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A desire to pursue a career in SEO
- A good sense of humour is a most along with communication skills
- The ideal person will have a positive “can-do” attitude, be self-motivated and able to motivate others around them
- An eagerness to learn and improve within the role
- Proactive in learning and understanding the market and flexible to work with a wide variety of clients
- Ideally 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
