Cars Under 3000 is a family run business in Rayleigh. Their aim is to provide a first-class service at an affordable cost, and we don’t believe anybody does it quite like them.

They understand that buying a used vehicle isn’t always easy. Their aim is to ensure that they make the process as simple and enjoyable as they possibly can. They don’t just want you to come once and leave with a car that you’re satisfied with. They work to build a relationship that brings you back time and time again for all your motoring needs.

We were actually referred to Cars Under 3000 by another company that we have achieved great results for. Cars Under 3000 came to us looking to build and grow the business through increasing their traffic.

We were tasked with increasing enquiries and conversions, with a strong focus on phone calls through SEO.

We were assigned to not only increase brand awareness and local visibility in Rayleigh, but also increasing visibility across specific car types.

Strategy

With any SEO campaign, we always tend to start with keyword research. This gave us the opportunity to understand Car Under 3000’s core audience in their local areas as well as search around specific cars they wanted to optimise for.

We then worked closely with their external web team to implement these optimisation changes whilst constantly testing and tracking results as we did so. One of the key areas we were able to make inroads were in regards to technical SEO. As a large website, there were a number of large technical issues we had to consult and find a solution to.

For example, a large proportion of their crawl budget was being used by external query string pages. We developed a tactic to optimise their Robots.txt file as well as their XML sitemap to optimise for Google’s indexability. This enabled us to combine both technical SEO with on-site optimisation to achieve the best results for our client against the brief and achieve their full potential.

Having started working with this client in September 2020, we are looking to increase growth with them as partners across other services such as CRO. This will include us consulting on removing friction from the website to increase converting phone calls.

Execution

Before

At the start of the campaign, Cars Under 3000 were ranking for 248 keywords.

After

After a few months, Cars Under 3000 saw an incredible increase in the number of keywords they were ranking for from 248 to 3,220.

Results

We saw an astonishing 522.35% increase in organic traffic for Cars Under 3000 since the start of the campaign.

Cars Under 3000 saw a huge uplift of 1198.39% in the number of ranked keywords.
